This hermit crab makes other crabs jealous of his fancy shell. This crab, named Herman, lives in the Atlantis Discovery Area of the Legoland in Berkshire, England. The staff at the Legoland wanted to give Herman more options, and made a special shell of Lego bricks to put in the display. Herman must like the Legos, because he moved right in!
Our school hermit crabs, Edison and Einstein, live in natural shells found on the beach, but I wonder if they might move into a different type of home.
Right now, Edison and Einstein are visiting Mrs. Jenkins’ class. Perhaps they will conduct an investigation to find out if our crabs would choose a different type of home.
If you have an idea for another type of home for our hermit crabs, comment and let us know!

I think it was a vary creative idea for the crab to have a lego shell now I wish I was a crab so I could have a lego shell like herman!

I love how the herrmit crab has a lego shell. But I wonder how they measured the size of the shell for the herrmit crab. And a habitat for the herrmit crab is in a fish tank.

Help us understand, Carter … what do you want to make?

I would want to make a hermit crab shell with legos. I would use orange and blue legos.
