Last week, Jim Tingey visited the Environmental Club to share information about our rainbow trout and our tank. He gave us different-sized food to try in our tank since our trout are growing. Mr. Tingey is a volunteer from Trout Unlimited who helps us with our Trout in the Classroom program.
Our guest also shared his original fish watercolors.
Mr. Tingey next showed students shark teeth that were found in Morocco and told us that the teeth were 24 million years old! Students got to observe and touch the teeth, then chose a fossilized tooth to take home.
Mr. Tingey will be visiting often and checking our blog, so you can comment to this post and ask him questions about our trout or what he shared with the Environmental Club.

Mr Tingey, I really liked your painting of the trout and how you let us take home the ancient fish teeth. I have a question about trout:
How many species of trout are there in the world?
